A carcinoid arising within an ovarian teratoma: a case report

Benign teratoma is the most common germ cell tumour found in ovary. One to three percent of these are harbour somatic neoplasms,1 which squamous carcinoma, adenocarcinoma and sarcoma account for 95%.2 The first report a carcinoid presenting bronchial mucosa, within was made 20183 we present similar rare case 54 year old female. patient underwent total laparoscopic hysterectomy bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy. Macroscopically left ovary measured 45 mm, with smooth external surface contained two cysts. Ectodermal, endodermal mesodermal components were present. Three nodules, measuring up 2 mm wall one cysts, associated mucosa cartilage. These demonstrated trabecular architecture showed uniform nuclei, stippled chromatin without nucleoli.
